Christmas Product Photography
As a commercial and branding photographer, I get to shoot all kinds of interesting projects and working with the very talented Stems Design is always masses of fun (mainly because she makes tea and tried to constantly feed me like I’m withering away!).
The talented Yorkshire florist is about to launch some amazing floristry workshops and a pop up shop in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds, just in time for Christmas, so I went along to the brand new Stems Design HQ to check out their gorgeous new workshop and shoot some commercial images for their launch.
Weirdly, it was a very hot day and it seemed a little strange shooting Christmas wreaths and working with the smell of oranges and pine (and all those other things we associate with the festive season), whilst in the middle of a small heatwave. But that’s the commercial world… always five steps ahead and planning the branding well ahead!
As Lynnie will be using the images on various social media channels and print advertising, I made sure to give her plenty of room on her images for the designer to include details of her workshops, as well a some generic but beautifully creative images of her amazing floristry. We even did a couple of flat lays because.. well, Instagram baby!
Everyone loves a good flat lay!
As well as the more traditional Christmas wreath, Stems Design also created a more cool contemporary display using concrete planters and interesting plants, so they could appeal to a more broad audience – I would have gladly taken it home if she’d let me. Maybe next time!
